The Annual Sour Grapes Wine & Whine Festival
Starting Friday, the 16th, on the 8 PM PST board.
To Summarize - ...somewhere in here is a Mission Statement. As you will all know (unless youve been tied for years in a basement) this weekend Everybody Who is Anybody will be in LA attending one or more of the parties, and taking part in some of the many events theyve been planning. What this means, basically, is that theyll be bonding with each other and forging friendships. It also means that for weeks after.well...the next year, really.theyll be hogging the board with their chirpy greetings to each other, private jokes, and stories of the cute things the VIPs said to them. After this weekend the Bronze as you now know it will be changed.
Therefore, on Friday we, the rejected, left-out, and self-pitying, are defiantly taking our last chance for a bit of nonsense.
Bring us your reasons why youre HAPPY youre not going, your stories of whats going on your life that kept you from going, your quizzes, your quotes, your WITTs, your tales of woe that nobody in your real life wants to hear, your accessories, your groove thang, your Bad Attitude, the dip in your fridge that has turned into vulcanized rubber, and lets party!!!
Were starting this Friday evening because a lot of the LA attendees will be off doing things they dont want us to know about and wont be posting. We can continue as long as theres a whiner left, but from what I remember from last year, Saturday night had lots of drive-bys, attendees posting from the PBP, drop-in VIPs, pictures being posted on the Web, and the Bronze was active.
And in no particular order we have:
Amberlynne Head of Security - who has kindly volunteered *snerk* to answer all weekend all the pesky drive-by questions about tickets and autographs. Hee. I was lurking last year, I dont think she was, and Im really looking forward to watching her head explode.
IreneAdler will be bringing the results of her failed chemistry lab experiments and trying to pass it off as Sour Grape Wine.
ShyGirl will be bringing a cheese plate, and the Cheese Guy, unless he gets to go to better parties, which is certainly possible.
Algerina -is bringing a Minnesota hot dish (I didnt ask what that was, she may have meant herself), and a pink feather boa. She wouldnt clarify whether that was an accessory or her whole outfit.
THX - has offered to be our DJ, and is compiling a list of music thatll make us feel better. This is very brave, because if it doesnt, THX is risking the wrath of a bunch of depressed Bronzers, and things could get messy.
agSlayer - is bringing dip. She didnt say what wed be dipping in it.
Suekib - offered the philosophical insight that without us to gloat over, the fun the PBP attendees will be having would be lessened, therefore were serving a real and noble purpose.
Cosmic Bob may show up at some point with lies embarrassing funny stories about the PBP attendees.
I will be showing up to drink the wine.
Come and hang out, and remember to bring your accessories and your attitudes!!! And remember, even if you dont feel like whining about anything, sooner or later you will, and its good to practice.
